Meals on wheels....

and I'm not talking about the Meals on Wheels you've heard about before. I'm talking about the mom's groups I am in. For the past two weeks, we have been so blessed to have moms bring us dinner each night. I am in two different Mom's groups up here and both of them offered to bring us meals after Kallie arrived. This is what we've received so far:

Tuna pasta salad and Orange fluff. This was actually pretty good! I didn't know what I would think about tuna.... but it was good! The orange fluff had a lot of cottage cheese in it, which isn't my favorite, so I didn't eat too much of it.

Goulash made with ground turkey. This was the first time I'd ever had ground turkey- it was GOOD! I may start buying that.... With the goulash came salad, Hawaiian rolls and cupcakes! One of my favorite meals, for sure!

Chicken Saltimbocca.... never heard of it? It was GREAT! The chicken breasts were stuffed with ham (I think). There was a caramelized onion sauce to pour over (I wasn't a huge fan of that), mashed potatoes that were TO DIE FOR, lemon pepper asparagus, French Herb rolls and Country Fair pie. You talk about a gourmet meal! This lady went above and beyond her call of duty- and we were so appreciative! She is a wonderful cook! Her pie was GREAT. It was SOOOO sugary, you could only eat small amounts at a time. I'm going to email her for the recipe and I'll post it when I get it. Whitney- you need to make it. I think you'd like it!!

Chicken lasagna- YUM! I've never had lasagna with chicken in it.... but it was great!

Macaroni & Cheese- again, YUM!

And last night we got spaghetti, salad and rolls. It worked out PERFECTLY that we got spaghetti. It was the first night my mom wasn't here to help out, and I didn't have to cook anything and dirty up the kitchen.

I'm not sure what we'll get tonight. This week my MOPS group is bringing food. They bring it EVERY night! My other mom's group does it Monday, Wednesday, Friday for 3 weeks.

God has blessed us in so many ways and I can't be more thankful! So far, things have been going rather smoothly since my mom left yesterday. I know it's a God thing- He is taking care of us.
