Kensley's 4th Birthday

So it's only 4 months late.... Kensley had a GREAT 4th birthday. She invited her friends from her MDO class- they hadn't seen eachother all summer so they all enjoyed it! I was pleased with all the decorations and was just glad the kids all had fun! I love how she got Ben and Kent to join in..... and Kyle loved the fact he was filming- so he didn't have to go play!

Looking back at July

Geez- I woke up this morning thinking I needed to blog- but didn't realize JUNE was my last post! Must.Catch.Up. So I am basically going to zip through my July folder for SmugMug. ;) In my last post, I talked about our new boat. The month of July was spent mostly at the lake- so much that we really could've used a lake house! haha! The girls LOOOOVE it. *My parents and my in laws came up on separate occasions so we could take them out on the boat.

We celebrated the 4th here at home this year. We got to spend it at the lake with Megan and Christian (and Megan's brother and SIL) and then we headed home and went to eat and watch fireworks with some new friends. All in all- it was a great day! Later in the month, Kent's cousin got married. We went to DFW for that- Kensley still talks about the hotel. We stayed at a Holiday Inn Express- if she sees a Holiday Inn Express (no matter where we are) she points out that "that's where we spent the night!". haha When she first mentioned it, I didn't know what she was talking about- little miss observant. I had already forgot we stayed at the Holiday Inn Express.... but she didn't ;) The morning after the wedding, we got to go to Hailey's party! We were so excited to get to go- it was timed perfectly! :) The girls had a blast- Whitney rented out a water park--- too bad I didn't have my swim suit on! haha And the last BIG thing we did in July was GO TO CANCUN!!! Kent and I had our first vacation without kids... EVER! We really enjoyed it- we got to go with some good friends and we had a blast. We went on an excursion one day to a park that had ziplines and rivers to swim in. We also rode the ATVs. We had a blast! So now July is over..... We just have to get through August and then the girls start up MDO! Whoop! I am so excited ;)

Wild flowers & ducks

Last night, I loaded up the girls and met a friend and her girls at Chick Fil A for a late dinner. After we ate, we let the girls play a bit and then headed to a local park that has some awesome wild flowers. I got a dress for Kensley a couple weeks ago and have been wanting to get some pictures of her in it. Hopefully I'll blow one of these up to a canvas. I love them so much. I wish I could've got some of Kallie- but she wasn't really into it. Figures. ;) Here's a collage I made of Kensley.
