Nonnie & Ging come to visit!

We have been busy busy with visitors- but we have had so much fun. Nonnie & Ging came up for about a week and I have REALLY enjoyed their company! They got here Thursday and we went to eat at Kobe's Japanese Steakhouse. YUM! Kensley ate great- but she was scared to death of the fire. She use to love it..... Friday we went into DC to visit the National Zoo. I wasn't too impressed. We didn't go to stay all day- I had to meet with a lady that morning talk some photography business stuff- so we didn't head out until about 11:30. So we didn't get there until lunch- we ate our picnic lunch and then headed out to see the animals. Unfortunately, the animals are spread out and it is SUPER hilly. So pushing a stroller & wheelchair around was a workout. We were able to see the Pandas come out. He even looked at me for a photo!

I didn't get many other photos- we tried to find the lions but never found them because it was starting to creep into nap time and Kensley was slowly turning into a bear. So we turned around to head back to the car- stopped and grabbed some ice cream for a snack- took a couple pictures.... then headed home.

The ride home wasn't a piece of cake. But does that come to a surprise? We were trying to leave DC right around rush hour. NIGHTMARE! Anyways, we finally got home- I had enough time to go to the restroom and then throw a hot pocket in the microwave.... then I had to leave for MOM'S NIGHT OUT!!! Woohoo! This was the first one I've had in.... well.... I don't know when! It was SO nice to get out and take a break from "mommyhood" and sit and laugh with friends. I spent a little more than expected, but since I never get to do things like this, the hubby was ok with it! :)

So all in all, I had a WONDERFUL evening---- in fact, I think I need to start doing that every other month, or so. Oh how I need it! :)
