We had, yet another, food in the nose episode. Saturday morning we got up and met some old friends at the mall. It was so nice to see them- after visiting for a bit (it was about 2pm when we left the food court) we walked into Macy's and both girls fell asleep. I got to shop for a little bit and then we headed out. We were pushing it because both girls were pretty tired. I wanted to run into Barnes & Noble to grab a couple books so I left the girls in the car with my mom. Kallie was getting hungry so my mom held her in the front seat while I ran in. I get a call while I'm in there to hurry up (I could barely hear my mom over the SCREAMS and cries of the girls) I got back to the car to find that Kensley had stuck some of her chicken nugget up her nose! AHH! My mom had no idea she did it until Kensley started saying "nose- no no!" Here's how the rest of the convo between the two went down:
Nonnie: Is something up your nose?
Kensley: uh huh
Nonnie: Did you put chicken up your nose?
Kensley: uh huh (whines a little)
Nonnie: is it hurting?
Kensley: uh huh (SCREAMS bloody murder)
Sooooo- I look up her nose and see the HUGE chunk of chicken. I tried to get it out but she fought me like crazy and cried. She was obviously in pain. She settled down and I fed Kallie. I looked for an Urgent Care but they were closed (Saturday at 5:30pm). My mom said we should just head on back. So I thought, ok. We were a couple minutes down the road and Kensley sneezed- and low and behold, that piece of chicken came out! Woohoo! It was a big piece.... unfortunately, that was not all! She ended up picking her nose two different times and chunks came out. I'm pretty sure she is clear now- her nose isn't running anymore and she doesn't have her fingers in there trying to dig anything out.... ugh... anytime her hand goes NEAR her nose with food in it, I get on to her. She looks at me now when she does it - just seeing what I'm going to do.
And I spoke of my Barnes & Noble trip- I bought two books.
1. Shepherding a Child's Heart but Tedd Tripp (suggestion from Whitney)
2. The New Strong-Willed Child by Dr. James Dobson
I've started #2 and so far I am really liking it. I am usually ready for the kids to go down for their nap or go to bed so I can read some more of it. I love books by Christian authors.
And to end my VERY wordy blog- here are a few pictures from today. These girls just melt my heart.
Kallie took a 4 hour nap yesterday, so here is a picture of her :)
I wanted to take some pictures with Kallie :)

Kensley and that nose! Silly girl!
I went to the book store this morning to get an updated version of the second book (since mine is from the 80's i think) and it wasn't in stock. Maybe I should read this one and see what all has changed when in comes in.
The second one is the one I told you that Dr Hanson told me to read... good to know that there is an updated version!
Her kids are a bit older so it has been out a LONG time!
Not that much has changed, I know he is a proponent for spankings.... just at specific times, etc...
Let me know which you like and find most useful!
