No pinching for us!

Did you wear your green yesterday? Kensley & I were decked out! She had her cute green dress on with her matching bow. I had my bright green tank top on. No pinching for us!

We came to Mexia so I could have a Mary Kay party. Miss Kensley was great all day! We did a lot of moving around- and she saw a lot of people. I guess she's getting to the age that unfamiliar faces scare her. She always had to see where I as in the room and she cried a few times when people tried to hold her! She was great last night when we went to see Nana & Gramps. I was hoping she'd be ok- it seems like around 8 every night she gets clingy & moody. She played over there for a while and we had a nice visit. We came back to Nonnie & Poppy's and she played with M&M while I ate dinner... she loves animals right now! M&M wasn't actually playing with her- she was just walking around on the floor- Kensley was crackin' up! It was too cute. She went to sleep really easy- however, she woke up at midnight crying. She ate a little but then wasn't interested. I think she's teething. She cried like she was in pain. I did everything- fed, changed her diaper... nothing worked...so luckily I was at my parent's house... I gave her to my mom and I got some rest. My mom & dad sat up with her from 12-2:30. She didn't want my dad to hold her- she just wanted my mom to. She finally went to sleep at 2:30- but was up at 6 ready to eat... and then at 7 ready to play! We have a busy day ahead of us... she's getting her morning nap in now...

Rain, Rain GO AWAY...

...or at least this FREEZING weather- GO AWAY!

I love weekends we stay at home. It's so relaxing! We get to sleep in and I always like that :) We didn't go to Mexia this weekend- I was suppose to do the 5K but ended up deciding against it because of the weather and the fact that my back still hurts! I took 3 days off completely this week so I knew I wouldn't be ready to run a 5K today. I'll have to find another one to sign up for now. Kent is going to try to finish the floor this weekend- yea! I will finally have my livingroom back! I really love the floors- it adds so much to the house!

Well, I'm going to crawl back in bed with Kent- I have Kensley on the bed with her toys- I can hear her talking in there now... so sweet.........

It's FREEEEZING!

We really needed the rain but why does it have to feel like winter again?! I'm still trying to figure out if we're going to get out & go to Life Group this morning. Kensley just fell asleep & I don't know if I feel like getting her out in the freezing cold rain! I also really need to go work out (my back is feeling a lot better now) but again, I don't really feel like getting out in this weather! I may go this afternoon. IF it's not raining! As far as the 5K on Saturday. I don't think we're going to make it. It's suppose to be nasty weather & Kent really wants to get our floors done this weekend. I'm ok with it- however, I need to find another 5k to sign up for ASAP! I love how it motivates me to work out!

Yesterday we had a playdate to the mall with some other mommies from the Life Group. We had a lot of fun just visiting. Afterwards, Kensley & I headed to Old Navy to see if I could find any clothes. Luckily, I did! Woohoo!

I talked to a friend yesterday about my bows.... she had some great ideas on how to get the word out and try to sell them. I'm going to make a Myspace page and then I'm going to try going to different boutiques and see if I can get them in a few stores. I enjoy doing it so much! I've made a few more tutus as well. Hopefully I can get some customers!

Well, I'm finished with this blog and I've made my mind up... I think I'm going to stay in today and not go to Life Group...................................................................

My back!

Well, I am about to go to bed but thought I would blog since it's been a few days. This past weekend was great. We actually stayed home and got some things done. Friday, Kensley & I, Whitney & Hailey and Holly & Maddox all went to a consignment sale. We had a good time. Then when we got back, Liz came up and watched Kensley so Kent and I could go out with Christian & Megan. We ate Mexican food and then went to Billy Bobs for some Reckless Kelly. It was nice to get out. Luckily Kensley slept the whole time we were gone- so we didnt have to worry about her waking up wanting to eat! :) Saturday Kent played golf and I went and bought a jogging stroller... I LOVE it! We also went and got hardwood floor to put down. That's still a work in progress- but it's going to be SO beautiful! I can't wait :) Yesterday I decided I was going to try out the jogging stroller... WELL, I believe I either pulled a muscle or tweaked a nerve in my lower back. It hurts SOOO bad... and Saturday is the 5k! It's my first ever! The last thing I want to be is injured! I rested all day today and put a heating pad on my back, so hopefully it'll be better by Saturday. Tomorrow I'm going to the mall for a playdate with some moms from my Lifegroup. I'm looking forward to the trip because I get to go shopping! Hopefully I can find some good deals :)

Terrific Thursday!

Well, today has been a great day. Kensley & I went to my Life Group this morning. I am so glad I found this group- my walk with God needs some tuning and I know this group is right for me. The ladies are wonderful! We had lunch today- everyone brought something...it was great! Afterwards, Holly took us home and we were lazy... I was pretty tired- got up at 7 and took a shower and was on the go until 2. Kensley got up with me at 7... and at 7:30 tonight, she ate and was out! She's still asleep... so we'll see how long it lasts!! Tomorrow we have a big day- we're going to a huge consignment sale with Whitney & Holly. I am really excited about it. I'm hoping to come across some really good deals... and I've been looking for a jogging stroller... maybe I'll find one there! Tomorrow evening we MAY go out with a couple friends of ours. IF we can find a sitter for Miss Kensley. I'm a little uneasy about leaving her at bedtime because she still doesn't take a bottle.... we'll see... if she goes crazy, we'll just come back home- we won't be far.

Also, a big thing today- I sold almost $40 in bows! I am really getting the hang of making them and really hope I can sell a lot. Even though I don't make a lot of money on them, I enjoy doing them.

What a great weekend!

Well, we had a great weekend! It was a little cold, but luckily the sun was out. Friday night we went to eat with Christian & Megan. They are so much fun- have I mentioned that I am SO ready for them to have a baby?! They absolutely love Kensley, which is great, but I find it a little harder now to hang out with people who don't have kids.... they're getting married this summer- then maybe, just maybe, it won't take them long to get preggo! :) Saturday morning we headed down South to our parents'. Tim, Nikki & the girls were at the farm and had invited us out. Kensley & I stayed at my parents' most of the day since it was so windy. I didn't want to have Kensley out in the wind all day. We ate some good ol' Fried Chicken for lunch and then visited Patrick, Kim & Mallory. She is such a beautiful baby! I can't believe Kensley was ever that small! Afterwards, I went to Walmart to get what we needed for dinner. I cooked dinner for everyone and took it out to the farm. Chicken spaghetti, rolls, & cupcakes! Mmmmm! Sunday Kent & I headed out to the land to see if we could find a new calf that Kent had seen the day before. Unfortunately, we found a calf that had died. :-( Later that evening, Mark, Keith & Kyle came out there to move the calf to the back of the pasture- she was right by all the hay. Here are some pictures from the land. ~Oh how I am SOOO ready to be able to build a house on land with cows! It is SOOO relaxing out in the country!~

Happy Half Year Kensley!

Well, today Kensley is 6 months. Wow how time flies! She is so much fun and has such a personality. I've been really keeping up with my blog, so there's not a lot to update on her. She's eating like crazy- she likes carrots now... the first time we tried them, she wasn't a big fan, but she'll eat them in a heart beat now! She had peas, carrots & pears for lunch. She finished those off and was still opening her mouth- so she ate a jar of peaches too!

It's been so pretty outside the last couple days! We went over to play with Hailey again today. We took the girls outside to the park. Kensley loved the swing! I'm going to have to tell Kent we need to get something to put in our back yard! It would be a great place to go if she was fussy! And maybe that would buy me some time if I left her with Kent to run errands or something. Anyways, we stayed outside a good bit- but the girls were getting sleepy & hot. Whitney put Hailey in her carrier until she went to sleep- then Kensley was being cranky, so she put Hailey in the stroller and put Kensley in her carrier. Then Kensley threw up on her! I guess it was the heat that made her spit up her lunch. She's asleep now.... I'm hoping she'll sleep good tonight! We'll see :) Here are some pictures from today....

This is Hailey, Kensley's buddy. It's been so neat watching them grow up and play together. They're starting to actually interact more with eachother.

What is with this weather?!

It was 80 degrees today! BEAUTIFUL! Kensley does not have a fever anymore... so we took advantage of the day. We were lazy this morning- I picked up the house and made some more bows for March Trade Days... around 3 we headed to see Whitney & Hailey. I signed up for the 5K that Limestone Medical Center is putting on, so I have to start getting "prepared"! I left Kensley with Whitney & Hailey while I ran for about 20 minutes. I am pooped! My legs are SOOO sore right now. That was the first time I've ran since.... well, I know it's been since before I found out I was pregnant! Wow how time flies! I was thinking about running in the Cowtown 5K... BUT after today, I know my body isn't ready! I may do the 1 mile "walk" and just run that. We'll see! I'm planning on going to my Bible study in the morning. Now that Kensley is well, we're good to go!

a little relief....

Kensley has now gone 24 hours without fever. Yay! Hopefully that virus has run its course. She still has a pretty snotty nose- it's not runny... but she sounds like a pig when she breathes.

What a BEAUTIFUL day it was yesterday! We went for a walk around 5. It's suppose to be pretty today- so we're planning on going to play with miss Hailey Grace... I signed up for a 5K- I've never done one before so I'm really excited. It's so hard for me to get up and go to the gym- I've been doing a lot better because Whitney & I go together- but since Kensley has been sick, I've tried to keep her out of the nursery. Anyways, I grew up playing sports- so I've always HAD to go to practice everyday and work out.... now that I don't have to go, it's so easy to skip out. I'm hoping that this 5K will give me some more motivation to run. I'm going on my first 15 minute run today...........

sickness...

Well, we are still sick! I say "we"... but I mean Kensley. She didn't sleep well last night- we're already up this morning. She was up at 4 something talking and I just left her in her crib. She fell back to sleep until 5ish. I bulbed out a big thick glob of snot- right after she threw up a little... I guess she was really stopped up? I don't know. She ran a fever yesterday- I took her to the dr. yesterday morning and it was 101.2. He said it was just a virus that she picked up on top of her ear infection. The ear infection is looking a lot better, so that was good to hear. I hope she will knock this virus soon! The weather is suppose to be BEAUTIFUL this week!
