Kallie: 2 months old

Kallie had her 2 month appointment with Kensley tagging along because she had been sick.... luckily Lindsey was there to help.

KENSLEY- she ended up just having a stomach virus. She threw up early one morning and then again after she woke up. Those were the only times she threw up- she didn't eat well for about 3 days. She ran a low grade fever the three days as well. Poor thing. She's all better now though!

KALLIE- our little chunky monkey :) She weighs 12lbs 6oz and is 22.75" long. We put her on Zantac, hoping it would ease her some. She really isn't a happy baby- it gets really frustrating for me. I have to hold her all the time. She wont last in her swing but for about 5 minutes. She'll scream her head off until she is bright red and sweating. It gets tough on me since I also have to chase Kensley around. I keep telling myself "and this too shall pass". The dr said it may be silent reflux. I'm hoping this medicine will start to help. So far, I haven't seen any miracles. Maybe it'll take a little time. Otherwise, she's doing great. Smiling a lot- especially at Kensley. She loves her big sister! It's really sweet. Her hair is growing back pretty fast! She had a little when she was born (and I mean just a LITTLE) and she lost it completely on top. It looked funny; it's growing back now. I think she'll be our little brunette. :)

First Workout in FOREVER!

Lindsey does these Insanity videos..... I am STILL sore! (We did it on Tuesday morning) We'll do another one today.... I don't know if I'll be able to do it though! HA! Here are some before and after pictures..... excuse how rough we look!

Kensley was our little cheerleader. She was yelling and jumping around and turning circles. She'd occasionally attempt to do some of the moves with us. It was WAY cute!

Lindsey- her before picture--Get it girl!

AND..... her after picture! haha

After--- I'm POOPED!

Visit from Lilly

Well, it's Thursday - this week has gone by fast. Lindsey came up to visit- she got here Monday afternoon. We didn't do much on Tuesday and Wednesday we went into D.C. We ended up having the girls because Kensley threw up early Wednesday morning (around 3am) and then again around 7am. She was able to keep down some liquid and a banana so we thought we would make the trip into D.C. (BAD IDEA) We didn't get there until after 1. Lindsey had never been to DC. We hit the Washington Monument, WW2 Memorial, Lincoln Monument and the White House. We didn't leave until 5 and had to sit through HORRIBLE traffic. And Kallie was screaming like crazy.... just NOT a good day. We finally got home only to find that Kensley was running 100.4 temp. AHH! (I knew we shouldn't have went) So I gave her some Motrin (which I now know is recalled!) and put her to bed. She woke up this morning with 100.8 temp. I am going to leave and pick up some medicine once Lindsey wakes up. Kallie has been fussy as well- I think she has the same bug Kensley has. So it's been pretty rough. I hate they're both sick, especially since Lindsey is here. I was hoping to be able to get out each day to do something. Obviously we won't be able to do anything today. We've got to get this fever down! We're wanting to ride the ferry on Saturday.... so I hope everyone is better by then. Here are a few pictures from yesterday. The focus was horrible- I must have hit something before I gave Lindsey the camera...... bummer

This duck was sitting on the fountain- so lots of people were getting pictures... I thought it turned out pretty...when I get a chance, I'm going to edit it a bit

Kensley running around in front of the White House

Here we are in front of the Washington Monument

My girls!

Kallie's first trip to DC

Strong National Museum of Play

While up north, we visited Strong Museum of Play. Kensley had a lot of fun- I was overwhelmed at what all there was to do... I can imagine how a 20 month old felt! haha Here are a few pictures to share

She LOVED the B.Bears.... she kept hugging and kissing on them (which is probably why she is sick now!)

The bottom front teeth made noise when you brushed them. She had fun with this.

She LOVES Elmo right now- so she was really into all the puppets. Right after this picture she had all the puppets on the floor with her

I couldn't get her out of the car. There were buttons that made noise and blinked. She was having a blast!

Zoo Time

We had a great time at the zoo today. It was BEAUTIFUL weather! 80 degrees with a light wind that felt PERFECT. I am loving the weather up here.... I could live here in the summer :)

A LONG drive... but such a fun time!

Well, we decided on a whim to visit Kent at work this week. We drove up to NY (6 hour drive) on Monday evening (with Kent). We drove half way Monday evening. We stopped in Pennsylvania for the night. The girls did good. Kensley didn't sleep in the car! Well, I take that back- she FINALLY gave in about 30 minutes before we got to the hotel. We didn't unpack the car; just took diapers in and went straight to bed. We got up around 8 on Tuesday morning and headed to Denny's for breakfast. Then, back on the road for another 3.5 hours. I believe we watched EVERY DVD we had in the car. As long as they were playing, Kensley was ok. After a pit stop and a little stretching, we made it to NY about an hour later. Since our hotel wasn't ready for us, we stopped at a local park and ate lunch and Kensley played on the playground. She had a lot of fun- there was a school bus there for lunch, so that gave plenty of kids for Kensley to play with. We finally got to the hotel room. Kenlsey was a MESS all day! All of the traveling and no naps was really getting to her. She was acting out like crazy- not normal for her AT ALL! I tried to get her to take a nap but it wasn't happening. She wanted to play in the room.... here are a couple pictures...

Trying to keep Kallie happy while I deal with her big sister!

Climbing in chairs.... messing with stuff on the table

This was right when we got to the hotel room.... she still had her PJ's on from the night before :)

Bedtime was at about 8:45....... and she didn't wake until 9:45 the next morning!!!

Weekend craziness

Well, the weekend is over and full of fun times. My surgery was Saturday morning.... everything went well. That evening we went to some friends' house and cooked out and played with the kids outside. It was so much fun. Brought back memories from when I was little and all the neighborhood kids would play outside until dark. Kensley had a blast.

She looks so grown up in this picture....

She did not want to take a picture!

She was having fun in the wagon

Such pretty blue eyes...... and she loved that chocolate covered strawberry!

Kallie has been doing great. I gave her a suppository last night since it had been about 4 days with no poop. It helped get things moving along. She went to sleep at about 9:30 and woke at 2 to eat. She was wide awake smiling and talking to me. I finally put her in bed with me at 3 and she fell asleep soon after and didn't wake up until 8.

We have an exciting few weeks ahead with people visiting and we will be traveling some. I can't wait to see friends and family! I just need to really try to lose this weight before swimsuit time gets here. :/

Recovery

All went well with my surgery this morning. The "retained particles" were removed. I believe they said it was 2cm by 3 or 4cm in size. I have the girls taken care of so I am trying to get as much rest as possible. I REALLY want to go with Kent next week to NY, so maybe I'll feel up to it. Thanks for your prayers.... keep them coming! I really appreciate it.

Well...... I'm about to take another nap...... after I pump (and DUMP! It makes me SICK to dump all this milk down the sink....... that's like GOLD to me!)

Prayers needed

Well, I've been having a tough time bouncing back after this pregnancy....I was trying to think it was just because I had Kensley to chase after. I went in for my 6 week pp visit and sure enough, something may be wrong. I go in today for an ultrasound. I just ask for prayers. It's been really tough lately. I am so ready to get back to "normal" and be able to work out again. Physically, I just can't. Please pray it's nothing too serious!!

Bathtub fun

Kensley loves bathtime. Tonight, she figured out how to spit out the water that she was "drinking".... she figured out how to really get some air when she spit the water out! I thought this picture was cute! (the one I originally wanted to put messed up and was deleted) :(((

And here was Kallie during Kensley's bath.... just hanging out! (this did NOT last long.... since she HATES to not be held! But I cherish every SECOND that she is laying in the swing or beanbag) ;-)

And here is a picture of Miss Kallie when I was trying to use my new little backdrop for pictures.... eh- she wasn't having it that day.....
