Working on Kallie's party

I am going to start this blog and not post it until after the party. I am determined to get this party together and carry out all of my ideas :)

This was my inspiration. I LOVE Kara's blog. So many ideas! The color scheme is just too cute. So here we go!

Tissue pom poms
This was my first attempt at the tissue pom poms. This website is what I used for guidance.
I bought all my tissue paper at Hobby Lobby (10 sheets in a pack).
Step 1:
Fold 10 pieces of tissue paper together accordion style

Step 2: Tie floral wire in the middle. I then cut the ends (you can do a point of curve)

Step 3: "fluff" out the tissue paper. You'll be pulling it away from the center.

Step 4: I tied string to the end of the wire and hung them.

Cupcake signs
I made these in PSE8.

Here is the smash cake we used for her birthday pictures. Very simple.

Party outfit $25
Jill with Sha bebe made Kallie's onesie for her.

I made Kallie's tutu. I hit up Hobby Lobby when they had their sale on tulle. I bought two spools of orange and two spools of the glittery pink one. I didn't use two full spools, but I used one and about a quarter of the other one.

I made this tutu for her.

And here is the whole outfit!

Did you use the poms?

I didn't use the one I have posted here-- I actually threw it away because we were in NY when I made it. Didn't want to have to haul it back home. I wish I would have kept it because it came out a heck of a lot better than the ones I tried to do when we got home! HA!
