6 years!

6 years ago today I married my best friend. What a ride it has been! We've lived in Texas, Virginia/NY and now back in Texas. We've lived in a one bedroom apartment, a small first home, a town home and now a beautiful house that I wouldn't mind living in forever if we had to! We've brought two of the sweetest girls into this world. We have grown so much as individuals and as a couple. As corny as it sounds, it's true- he's my best friend and my love for him grows everyday.

To me, he is:

New home

We are moved in! Yea!!! We are trying to get into a routine now. It's so nice to be together again. Here are a few pictures I've managed to snap. I need to upload the ones from my phone, too.

1st morning at their new home. Kallie loved the stairs.

She also liked the boxes in our bedroom. So Kensley kept shutting her in them.

I happened to have my camera and snapped this picture. We were testing out the sprinkler system and I came out to see this. How sweet!

Playing outside last night. They did NOT want to come in! Can you tell it's H-O-T. Heck, we're in Texas!

Tomorrow is our first play date. We get to meet about 7 other moms. Kensley is so excited!

It's me!

I had a fellow photographer friend take some pictures for me to put on my website. I love how they turned out!! Just wanted to share some of the ones I have edited.

Kensley

Just wanted to share a quick picture from tonight. I took Kensley out to get her pictures for her THIRD birthday. :faint: I can't believe she's almost 3!!

She hammed it up for the camera. We had fun and were done within 30 minutes! I am working on her invitation so I'll share the rest once I have them all edited and the invites are mailed out.

Beating the heat

We have been trying to stay cool (outside) in all this heat. Luckily we have the pool to fill up and sprinkler to turn on. As usual. :)

The girls also enjoy just going outside and play with Roxy. She's Grumpy & Nana's cat.

She is rough!

It's monkey see - monkey do around here these days :)

Yeehaw!

We have been deprived of Cavenders while we lived up north. Not anymore though! We've already hit up the store and Kent bought me a pair of boots. Yipppeeee!

These red boots were mine when I was little! Kensley put them on and wanted to model them with me.

Here's another ariel view of mine ;)

Me & Kensley striking a pose. (props to Ging for taking the picture for me. She handled the big camera well!)

And Kallie really wanted to wear my boots.

And this was after modeling our footwear & swimming. They were pooped ;)

Big News for us!

I have been out of the blogging world for almost a month now! Woah! We have been super busy. We found out we would be moving and we had a 3000 sq ft house packed up in about 4 days. Crazy. I was so tired. From flying back and forth and then going up and down so many flights of stairs- I was pretty sore! We'll be in our house soon enough. I am SO excited to be closer to family. We have missed being away. My mom is now just a phone call away! Yea! And the most important thing of all in all of this- Kent will be able to be home with us. Woot!

That's about all I have for now updating on our living situation. Here's a picture because I know everything is better with pictures! ;)

A beautiful flower girl

Kensley was in her uncle's wedding a few weekends ago. Her 1st wedding to be in! :) She did great! We were a little nervous after rehearsal thinking she may run down the aisle but she was perfect for the wedding.

Up until the day of the wedding, I didn't really know how I was going to do her hair. She wouldn't wear it in a pony tail- she rarely keeps a pony tail up these days. My plan was just to leave her hair straight and put a headband in it. Well, the morning of the wedding, we went and got pedicures and when we got back home she wanted to watch a TV show on my computer. While she sat there, I thought I would try to curl her hair. My mom had an ancient tiny curling iron that we found before we left for the weekend so I was able to use that. Oh my goodness. Adorable!!!! Look at her hair! It's so fine, I was skeptical of how it would curl and how long it would stay. Well, it stayed like this ALL evening!

Here are some pictures from the rehearsal and the hotel. I really wish I would have taken my good camera out more but oh well. I was able to enjoy the day more without lugging it around :)
*These are the only ones from my big camera and I didn't edit them any... so the ones in the church have an awful color cast. But I still love them!

This was at the rehearsal. Keith & Kristyn.

Keith tried his hardest to get a picture with her!
