A day at the lake

Last weekend we got to take our boat out for the first time. I am in love. The Knowles family was with us and we had the Kruegers join us, too! The kids all had a blast. Kallie still asks for the boat everyday. They got use to seeing it in the driveway and then Kent took it to our storage unit.

So hopefully we'll be taking out again soon!
Here are some pictures from more of our weekend--- in cell pictures :) Rosa's- one of Kent's favorite places to eat. The kids did great--- until we almost lost Kensley. That's never happened before. I was calm at first and then almost in tears. It was scary. We got in the car and I just let the tears roll---- I should've spanked Kensley but in all honesty, I don't know what I was thinking. I tried to stay calm- we were right by the front doors- I talked to her and explained why she doesn't do that. She was in trouble the rest of the night- had to go to bed when we got home. We wouldn't talk to her in the car- I don't know. It was just scary. Anyways- here are her and Hayden on their way in. They had just gotten in- and she loves her some Hayden!

Photoshoot with the 70-200

Karissa and Ben came into town this weekend- she and the kids were flying out to Cali today so they came early and we made a weekend of it. We had a blast! (I'll post about our big weekend in a separate post)
While the guys were playing a super early round of golf, we took the kids out for some pictures. Karissa just got the Canon 70-200L lens.... OH MY. I LOOOOVE it. I wanted to take it out to get some pictures while she was here.... just to drool over it. Look at these pictures! 50 1.4

So, of course, we had fun & got some super cute shots! I wanted to mainly get some of Kallie--- backlit & in the field. So I got them! Whoop!

Weekend fun with the kids

Last weekend two of my friends from college came with their kids to hang out for the weekend. We had a blast! It was so good to catch up with them (we keep in touch via facebook but it was nice to be "in person") ;) Casey got in town around lunch on Friday. The kids played great together- the girls made cookies that afternoon then we played, jumped in the bounce house and headed to the park until dark. Kallie LOOOOOOVED Levi. Heck, she and Kensley both did.... but Kallie was SO sweet to him. Wanted to love and kiss and hug on him. We'll have to have them over more often.... if only they weren't so far away!

*it still amazes me at how good kids are with the ipads/iphones! It's crazy!



Making Cookies










Bedtime was late- Kensley didn't give up until around 11:30! And she was up EARLY. Like, 6:45am. Insane. She and Kallie were both up by 6:45. Mandi and Corbin got there late Friday night- he stayed up with us for a while :)





We finally ended up going to bed at 2. I'm not use to that! I was exhausted! But it was a lot of fun sitting and talking about our college days. Some of the best times of our lives!



So we were all up early (Casey actually got to sleep later than us- BOO! ;)

We finally headed into Austin later in the morning. We took the girls to the park and played. Then we had lunch with the pigeons. Sounds nice, huh? Yea, gross. They were EVERYWHERE. The girls had a blast running through them yelling and screaming. It was funny. Luckily nobody got pooped on.






After lunch, we headed into downtown to grab some lunch for the adults and get some one year shots of Corbin. He is ADORABLE. Like, seriously. Love him!




We got home and Casey decided to gather up and head on back so they didn't have to get up Sunday morning. The girls got to jump one last time in the bounce house and run around and play. We were so happy they got to come!




After they left, Mandi and I visited while the girls played with Corbin. We rode around the neighborhood and ordered Pizza. The girls love pizza, so dinner was a hit. Bedtime was EARLY. Well, earlier than the night before- ha! Oh, I almost left an "event" out from our weekend. Friday night we put all three girls in the tub to play and bathe them. Casey and I sat and visited while they laughed/splashed/played in the tub- for a good 45 minutes. I finally went in there to check on them so we could start bathing..... I saw something dark in there- I asked Cori what it was- she picked it up and told me there were rocks in the tub. AHHH! Kallie had POOPED in the tub. So they'd been playing in the water (and with the "rocks") for a while.... not sure it was 45 minutes- but it was a while. NASTY! We took them downstairs and washed them down and I bleached the toys and cleaned the tub. Ugh. Gross. Well....... Saturday night...... it was just Kensley & Kallie in the tub. Guess what? Kallie pooped AGAIN! It wasn't as much as the previous night, but still. Gross. so yea, hope she got all that out of her. I get tired of cleaning the tub and toys every night!
....back to the story..... kids went down early and we sat and watched TV and hung out with a glass of wine. Yummy!





Sunday was pretty uneventful. We got up and ate breakfast and Mandi packed up- they left later in the morning and my girls got comfy upstairs and watched a movie (Kallie fell asleep for a while). Needless to say, it was a GREAT weekend and everyone was exhausted! I think I'm still recovering from my 2am bedtime on Friday! haha
